Paintings: John Rodwell
Art Bio:
I joined Roche Art Group in September 2021 after many years of inactivity regarding painting or producing artwork. I was 'recruited' into the group after talking with Bernard at the Rochford 100 Rugby Club Fun Day where the group had a stall. I had previously enjoyed using pastel sticks but after joining the group I soon found a new niche with pastel pencils. I was delighted that 'Tiger Eyes' was voted Best in Show at the 2022 exhibition in Rayleigh. I am now on the group's committee and maintain this website along with photographing members' finished paintings at the Wednesday meetings.
I have a some pages in the Showcase section. One is of the evolution of the 'Beau' boxer dog painting: The Boxer Evolution
Another is a selection of computer generated pictures on what some famous paintings might have looked like: ...with Zombies
The latest is a piece on the method I chose to try for the 2022 Summer Challenge: Acrylic Pouring
