Paintings: Sue Vinson
Art Bio:
I took up painting 13years ago when I retired. Tried watercolours first but it was too much like hard work. I prefer the more colourful acrylics and you can cover up your mistakes more easily. Wildlife is my favourite genre you can let your imagination go full out colour wise. I like to sketch also and have numerous filled books. I go to Paul Alcock once a week for lessons, but never seem to be able to do what he tries to teach me. Still I must be doing something right as after 10 years he hasn't thrown me out yet. I try to paint at least 4 days a week otherwise I seem to lose my mojo and it takes a while to get going again.
Please note: Where studio photos of Sue's work were not available, photos from the Rayleigh exhibition 2022 have been used.
